The LB-480 is a slimline pump designed to slide into 8" diameter pipes and dive deep into the earth to remove groundwater in mining facilities. If the LB-480 is engineered to perform in such demanding, hazardous environments, we're pretty sure it can handle your elevator shaft sump in it's sleep. (Actually, we're 100% sure.)
But, don't feel bad for the LB-480; there aren't many jobs in Hawaii that can really push it to the limit. So, until we start up our mining industry (which is never), the LB-480 is going to have to settle for dewatering elevator shaft sumps, water transfer tanks, rainwater catchment tanks, overflow sumps, and the other less demanding, but extremely important, jobs available here in the islands. No problem.
